الشمس91. Ash-Shams

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

2. وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا۝١

   EnglishBy the sun and its brightness

   GermanBei der Sonne und ihrer Morgenhelle

3. وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا۝٢

   EnglishAnd [by] the moon when it follows it

   Germanund dem Mond, wenn er ihr folgt,

4. وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا۝٣

   EnglishAnd [by] the day when it displays it

   Germanund dem Tag, wenn er sie erscheinen läßt,

5. وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا۝٤

   EnglishAnd [by] the night when it covers it

   Germanund der Nacht, wenn sie sie überdeckt,

6. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا۝٥

   EnglishAnd [by] the sky and He who constructed it

   Germanund dem Himmel und Dem, Der ihn aufgebaut hat,

7. وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا۝٦

   EnglishAnd [by] the earth and He who spread it

   Germanund der Erde und Dem, Der sie ausgebreitet hat,

8. وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا۝٧

   EnglishAnd [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

   Germanund einer (jeden) Seele und Dem, Der sie zurechtgeformt hat

   91:7☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 91:7

9. فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا۝٨

   EnglishAnd inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

   Germanund ihr dann ihre Sittenlosigkeit und ihre Gottesfurcht eingegeben hat!

10. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا۝٩

    EnglishHe has succeeded who purifies it,

    GermanWohl ergehen wird es ja jemandem, der sie läutert,

    91:9☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 91:9

11. وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا۝١٠

    EnglishAnd he has failed who instills it [with corruption].

    Germanund enttäuscht sein wird ja, wer sie verkümmern läßt.

12. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ۝١١

    EnglishThamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,

    GermanDie Tamud erklärten in ihrer Auflehnung (die Botschaft) für Lüge,

13. إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا۝١٢

    EnglishWhen the most wretched of them was sent forth.

    Germanals der Unseligste von ihnen sich erhob.

    91:12☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 91:12

14. فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَٰهَا۝١٣

    EnglishAnd the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."

    GermanAllahs Gesandter sagte zu ihnen: "(Achtet auf) Allahs Kamelstute und ihre Trinkzeit."

15. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا۝١٤

    EnglishBut they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].

    GermanSie aber bezichtigten ihn der Lüge, und so schnitten sie ihr die Sehnen durch. Da schmetterte ihr Herr sie für ihre Sünde nieder, und so ebnete Er über ihnen die Erde ein.

16. وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَٰهَا۝١٥

    EnglishAnd He does not fear the consequence thereof.

    GermanUnd Er (Allah) fürchtet nicht die Folge davon.
