Surah 10 Yunus, ayah 98 (10:98)

Ayah 10:98

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ۝٩٨

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilFalawla kanat qaryatun amanat fanafaAAaha eemanuha illa qawma yoonusa lamma amanoo kashafna AAanhum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya wamattaAAnahum ila heenin

English · Saheeh InternationalThen has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasWenn doch (irgend)eine Stadt geglaubt hätte, so daß ihr Glaube ihr genützt hätte! (Keine tat es), außer dem Volk des Yunus. Als diese glaubten, hoben Wir die schändliche Strafe im diesseitigen Leben von ihnen auf und gewährten ihnen Nießbrauch auf Zeit.
