Surah 12 Yusuf, ayah 24 (12:24)

Ayah 12:24

وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِۦ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلَآ أَن رَّءَا بُرْهَٰنَ رَبِّهِۦ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلْفَحْشَآءَ إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ۝٢٤

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWalaqad hammat bihi wahamma biha lawla an raa burhana rabbihi kathalika linasrifa AAanhu alssooa waalfahshaa innahu min AAibadina almukhlaseena

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasEs verlangte sie nach ihm, und es hätte ihn nach ihr verlangt, wenn er nicht den Beweis seines Herrn gesehen hätte. Dies (geschah), damit Wir das Böse und das Schändliche von ihm abwendeten. Er gehört ja zu Unseren auserlesenen Dienern.
