Surah 12 Yusuf, ayah 38 (12:38)

Ayah 12:38

وَٱتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ ءَابَآءِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ مَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نُّشْرِكَ بِٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ ذَٰلِكَ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ۝٣٨

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaittabaAAtu millata abaee ibraheema waishaqa wayaAAqooba ma kana lana an nushrika biAllahi min shayin thalika min fadli Allahi AAalayna waAAala alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yashkuroona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with Allah. That is from the favor of Allah upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

German · Bubenheim & Elyasund ich bin dem Glaubensbekenntnis meiner Väter Ibrahim, Ishaq und Ya'qub gefolgt. Es steht uns nicht zu, Allah etwas beizugesellen. Das ist etwas von Allahs Huld gegen uns und gegen die Menschen. Aber die meisten Menschen sind nicht dankbar.
