Surah 12 Yusuf, ayah 77 (12:77)

Ayah 12:77

قَالُوٓا۟ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ۝٧٧

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilQaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhun lahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdiha lahum qala antum sharrun makanan waAllahu aAAlamu bima tasifoona

English · Saheeh InternationalThey said, "If he steals - a brother of his has stolen before." But Joseph kept it within himself and did not reveal it to them. He said, "You are worse in position, and Allah is most knowing of what you describe."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasSie sagten: "Wenn er stiehlt, so hat ein Bruder von ihm schon zuvor gestohlen." Aber Yusuf hielt es in seinem Innersten geheim und legte es ihnen nicht offen. Er sagte: "Ihr befindet euch in einer (noch) schlechteren Lage. Und Allah weiß sehr wohl, was ihr beschreibt."
