Surah 17 Al-Israa, ayah 5 (17:5)

Ayah 17:5

فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ أُولَىٰهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًا لَّنَآ أُو۟لِى بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ فَجَاسُوا۟ خِلَٰلَ ٱلدِّيَارِ وَكَانَ وَعْدًا مَّفْعُولًا۝٥

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilFaitha jaa waAAdu oolahuma baAAathna AAalaykum AAibadan lana olee basin shadeedin fajasoo khilala alddiyari wakana waAAdan mafAAoolan

English · Saheeh InternationalSo when the [time of] promise came for the first of them, We sent against you servants of Ours - those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasWenn nun das Versprechen vom ersten der beiden (Male) eintrifft, schicken Wir gegen euch Diener von Uns, die eine starke Gewalt besitzen. Sie dringen zwischen den Wohnstätten hindurch ein, und das ist ein Versprechen, das sicher ausgeführt wird.
