Surah 18 Al-Kahf, ayah 86 (18:86)

Ayah 18:86

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا۝٨٦

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilHatta itha balagha maghriba alshshamsi wajadaha taghrubu fee AAaynin hamiatin wawajada AAindaha qawman qulna ya tha alqarnayni imma an tuAAaththiba waimma an tattakhitha feehim husnan

English · Saheeh InternationalUntil, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."

German · Bubenheim & Elyasbis, als er den Ort des Sonnenuntergangs erreichte, er fand, daß sie in einer schlammigen Quelle unterging, und er fand bei ihr ein Volk. Wir sagten: "O Du '1Qarnain, entweder strafst du (sie), oder du behandelst sie mit Güte."
