Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 101 (2:101)

Ayah 2:101

وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ۝١٠١

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWalamma jaahum rasoolun min AAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahum nabatha fareequn mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba kitaba Allahi waraa thuhoorihim kaannahum la yaAAlamoona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained].

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd als (nun) zu ihnen ein Gesandter von Allah gekommen ist, das bestätigend, was ihnen (an Offenbarungen) bereits vorlag, da hat eine Gruppe von denjenigen, denen die Schrift gegeben wurde, das Buch Allahs hinter ihren Rücken geworfen, als ob sie nicht Bescheid wüßten.
