Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 124 (2:124)

Ayah 2:124

وَإِذِ ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَٰتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ۝١٢٤

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaithi ibtala ibraheema rabbuhu bikalimatin faatammahunna qala innee jaAAiluka lilnnasi imaman qala wamin thurriyyatee qala la yanalu AAahdee alththalimeena

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people." [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?" [Allah] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd (gedenkt,) als Ibrahim von seinem Herrn mit Worten geprüft wurde, da befolgte er sie. Er (Allah) sagte: "Ich will dich zu einem Vorbild für die Menschen machen." Er (Ibrahim) sagte: "Und von meiner Nachkommenschaft?" Er sagte: "Mein Bund erstreckt sich nicht auf die Ungerechten."
