Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 142 (2:142)

Ayah 2:142

سَيَقُولُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَا وَلَّىٰهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ ٱلَّتِى كَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهَا قُل لِّلَّهِ ٱلْمَشْرِقُ وَٱلْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ۝١٤٢

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilSayaqoolu alssufahao mina alnnasi ma wallahum AAan qiblatihimu allatee kanoo AAalayha qul lillahi almashriqu waalmaghribu yahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin

English · Saheeh InternationalThe foolish among the people will say, "What has turned them away from their qiblah, which they used to face?" Say, "To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasDie Toren unter den Menschen werden sagen: "Was hat sie von der Gebetsrichtung, die sie (bisher) einhielten, abgebracht?" Sag: Allah gehört der Osten und der Westen. Er leitet, wen Er will, auf einen geraden Weg.
