Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 280 (2:280)

Ayah 2:280

وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَىٰ مَيْسَرَةٍ وَأَن تَصَدَّقُوا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ۝٢٨٠

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWain kana thoo AAusratin fanathiratun ila maysaratin waan tasaddaqoo khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time of] ease. But if you give [from your right as] charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd wenn er (der Schuldner) in Schwierigkeiten ist, dann sei (ihm) Aufschub (gewährt,) bis eine Erleichterung (eintritt). Und daß ihr (es) als Almosen erlaßt, ist besser für euch, wenn ihr (es) nur wißt.
