Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 67 (2:67)

Ayah 2:67

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تَذْبَحُوا۟ بَقَرَةً قَالُوٓا۟ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ۝٦٧

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaith qala moosa liqawmihi inna Allaha yamurukum an tathbahoo baqaratan qaloo atattakhithuna huzuwan qala aAAoothu biAllahi an akoona mina aljahileena

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd [recall] when Moses said to his people, "Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you take us in ridicule?" He said, "I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd als Musa zu seinem Volk sagte: "Allah befiehlt euch, daß ihr eine Kuh schlachten sollt!" Sie sagten: "Machst du dich über uns lustig?" Er sagte: "Ich nehme Zuflucht bei Allah (davor), daß ich zu den Toren gehöre!"
