Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 75 (2:75)

Ayah 2:75

أَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ۝٧٥

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilAfatatmaAAoona an yuminoo lakum waqad kana fareequn minhum yasmaAAoona kalama Allahi thumma yuharrifoonahu min baAAdi ma AAaqaloohu wahum yaAAlamoona

English · Saheeh InternationalDo you covet [the hope, O believers], that they would believe for you while a party of them used to hear the words of Allah and then distort the Torah after they had understood it while they were knowing?

German · Bubenheim & ElyasBegehrt ihr (Muslime) denn, daß sie (die Juden) euch glauben, wo doch eine Gruppe von ihnen das Wort Allahs gehört und es dann, nachdem er es begriffen hatte, wissentlich verfälscht hat?
