Surah 21 Al-Anbiyaa, ayah 90 (21:90)

Ayah 21:90

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ۝٩٠

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilFaistajabna lahu wawahabna lahu yahya waaslahna lahu zawjahu innahum kanoo yusariAAoona fee alkhayrati wayadAAoonana raghaban warahaban wakanoo lana khashiAAeena

English · Saheeh InternationalSo We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasDa erhörten Wir ihn und schenkten ihm Yahya und besserten ihm seine Gattin. Sie pflegten sich ja mit den guten Dingen zu beeilen und Uns in Begehren und Ehrfurcht anzurufen, und sie pflegten vor Uns demütig zu sein.
