Surah 22 Al-Hajj, ayah 73 (22:73)

Ayah 22:73

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيْـًٔا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلْمَطْلُوبُ۝٧٣

English · Saheeh InternationalO people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasO ihr Menschen, ein Gleichnis wird (euch) angeführt', so hört darauf. Gewiß, diejenigen, die ihr anstatt Allahs anruft, werden nicht (einmal) eine Fliege erschaffen (können), auch wenn sie sich dafür zusammentäten. Und wenn die Fliege ihnen etwas raubte, könnten sie es ihr nicht entreißen. Schwach ist (hier) derjenige, der ersucht, und derjenige, der ersucht wird.
