Surah 25 Al-Furqaan, ayah 20 (25:20)

Ayah 25:20

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا۝٢٠

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWama arsalna qablaka mina almursaleena illa innahum layakuloona alttaAAama wayamshoona fee alaswaqi wajaAAalna baAAdakum libaAAdin fitnatan atasbiroona wakana rabbuka baseeran

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd Wir sandten vor dir keine Gesandten, die nicht Speise aßen und auf den Märkten umhergingen. Und Wir haben die einen von euch zur Versuchung für die anderen gemacht, (um festzustellen,) ob ihr standhaft seid. Und dein Herr sieht sehr wohl (alles).
