Surah 28 Al-Qasas, ayah 55 (28:55)

Ayah 28:55

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِى ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ۝٥٥

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaitha samiAAoo allaghwa aAAradoo AAanhu waqaloo lana aAAmaluna walakum aAAmalukum salamun AAalaykum la nabtaghee aljahileena

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd wenn sie unbedachte Rede hören, wenden sie sich davon ab und sagen: "Wir haben unsere Taten und ihr habt eure Taten (zu verantworten). Friede sei auf euch! Wir trachten nicht nach (dem Umgang mit) den Toren."
