Surah 29 Al-Ankaboot, ayah 53 (29:53)

Ayah 29:53

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَوْلَآ أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ۝٥٣

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi walawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabu walayatiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd sie wünschen von dir, die Strafe zu beschleunigen. Wenn es nicht eine festgesetzte Frist gäbe, wäre die Strafe wahrlich zu ihnen gekommen. Aber ganz gewiß wird sie plötzlich über sie kommen, ohne daß sie merken.
