Surah 3 Aal-i-Imraan, ayah 140 (3:140)

Ayah 3:140

إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُۥ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَآءَ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ۝١٤٠

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilIn yamsaskum qarhun faqad massa alqawma qarhun mithluhu watilka alayyamu nudawiluha bayna alnnasi waliyaAAlama Allahu allatheena amanoo wayattakhitha minkum shuhadaa waAllahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena

English · Saheeh InternationalIf a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -

German · Bubenheim & ElyasWenn euch eine Wunde zugefügt worden ist, so ist dem (ungläubigen) Volk schon eine gleiche Wunde zugefügt worden. Und diese Tage (des Kriegsglücks) lassen Wir unter den Menschen wechseln, - damit Allah diejenigen, die glauben, kennt und (damit) Er Sich von euch (Blut)zeugen nimmt. Und Allah liebt nicht die Ungerechten.
