Surah 3 Aal-i-Imraan, ayah 178 (3:178)

Ayah 3:178

وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِّأَنفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِثْمًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ۝١٧٨

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd let not those who disbelieve ever think that [because] We extend their time [of enjoyment] it is better for them. We only extend it for them so that they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, sollen ja nicht meinen, daß das, was Wir ihnen an Aufschub gewähren, gut für sich selbst sei. Wir gewähren ihnen nur Aufschub, damit sie an Sünde zunehmen, und für sie gibt es schmachvolle Strafe.
