Surah 31 Luqman, ayah 7 (31:7)

Ayah 31:7

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِىٓ أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ۝٧

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaitha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna walla mustakbiran kaan lam yasmaAAha kaanna fee othunayhi waqran fabashshirhu biAAathabin aleemin

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd wenn ihm Unsere Zeichen verlesen werden, kehrt er sich hochmütig ab, als ob er sie nicht gehört hätte, als ob in seinen Ohren Schwerhörigkeit wäre. So verkünde ihm schmerzhafte Strafe.
