Surah 4 An-Nisaa, ayah 129 (4:129)

Ayah 4:129

وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَن تَعْدِلُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا۟ كُلَّ ٱلْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَٱلْمُعَلَّقَةِ وَإِن تُصْلِحُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا۝١٢٩

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd ihr werdet zwischen den Frauen nicht gerecht handeln können, auch wenn ihr danach trachtet. Aber neigt nicht gänzlich (von einer weg zu der anderen), so daß ihr sie gleichsam in der Schwebe laßt. Und wenn ihr (es) wiedergutmacht und gottesfürchtig seid, gewiß, so ist Allah Allvergebend und Barmherzig.
