Surah 57 Al-Hadid, ayah 14 (57:14)

Ayah 57:14

يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ۝١٤

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilYunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloo bala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastum wairtabtum wagharratkumu alamaniyyu hatta jaa amru Allahi wagharrakum biAllahi algharooru

English · Saheeh InternationalThe hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasSie rufen ihnen zu: "Waren wir nicht mit euch?" Sie werden sagen: "Ja doch, aber ihr habt euch selbst der Versuchung ausgesetzt, ihr habt abgewartet und gezweifelt, und die Wünsche haben euch getäuscht, bis Allahs Befehl kam. Und getäuscht hat euch hinsichtlich Allahs der Täuscher.
