Surah 6 Al-An'aam, ayah 137 (6:137)

Ayah 6:137

وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ۝١٣٧

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWakathalika zayyana likatheerin mina almushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohum liyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahu ma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd ebenso haben vielen der Götzendiener ihre Teilhaber wohlgefällig erscheinen lassen, ihre Kinder zu töten, um sie ins Verderben zu stürzen und um ihnen ihre Religion zu verdecken. Wenn Allah wollte, hätten sie es nicht getan. So lasse sie (allein) mit dem, was sie an Lügen ersinnen!
