Surah 7 Al-A'raaf, ayah 48 (7:48)

Ayah 7:48

وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَعْرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ۝٤٨

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWanada ashabu alaAArafi rijalan yaAArifoonahum biseemahum qaloo ma aghna AAankum jamAAukum wama kuntum tastakbiroona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd die Leute der Höhen rufen Männern, die sie an ihren Merkmalen erkennen, zu. Sie sagen: "Es hat euch eure Ansammlung, und daß ihr euch hochmütig zu verhalten pflegtet, nicht genützt.
