Surah 7 Al-A'raaf, ayah 96 (7:96)

Ayah 7:96

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبُوا۟ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ۝٩٦

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWalaw anna ahla alqura amanoo waittaqaw lafatahna AAalayhim barakatin mina alssamai waalardi walakin kaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanoo yaksiboona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning."

German · Bubenheim & ElyasHätten aber die Bewohner der Städte geglaubt und wären sie gottesfürchtig gewesen, hätten Wir ihnen bestimmt Segnungen von dem Himmel und der Erde aufgetan. Aber sie erklärten (die Botschaft) für Lüge, und so ergriffen Wir sie für das, was sie erworben hatten.
