Surah 8 Al-Anfaal, ayah 43 (8:43)

Ayah 8:43

إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلًا وَلَوْ أَرَىٰكَهُمْ كَثِيرًا لَّفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَلَّمَ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ۝٤٣

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilIth yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanazaAAtum fee alamri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

English · Saheeh International[Remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasAls Allah sie dir in deinem Schlaf als wenige zeigte -, und wenn Er sie dir als viele gezeigt hätte, hättet ihr wahrlich den Mut verloren und über die Angelegenheit miteinander gestritten. Aber Allah hat (euch) bewahrt. Gewiß, Er weiß über das Innerste der Brüste Bescheid.
