Surah 9 At-Tawba, ayah 67 (9:67)

Ayah 9:67

ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ۝٦٧

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilAlmunafiqoona waalmunafiqatu baAAduhum min baAAdin yamuroona bialmunkari wayanhawna AAani almaAAroofi wayaqbidoona aydiyahum nasoo Allaha fanasiyahum inna almunafiqeena humu alfasiqoona

English · Saheeh InternationalThe hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them [accordingly]. Indeed, the hypocrites - it is they who are the defiantly disobedient.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasDie Heuchler und die Heuchlerinnen stammen voneinander. Sie gebieten das Verwerfliche und verbieten das Rechte und halten ihre Hände geschlossen. Sie haben Allah vergessen, und so hat Er sie vergessen. Gewiß, die Heuchler sind die (wahren) Frevler.
