النجم53. An-Najm

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

2. وَٱلنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ۝١

   EnglishBy the star when it descends,

   GermanBei dem Stern, wenn er sinkt!

   53:1☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:1

3. مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ۝٢

   EnglishYour companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,

   GermanNicht in die Irre geht euer Gefährte, und auch nicht einem Irrtum ist er erlegen,

   53:2☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:2

4. وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰٓ۝٣

   EnglishNor does he speak from [his own] inclination.

   Germanund er redet nicht aus (eigener) Neigung.

5. إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْىٌ يُوحَىٰ۝٤

   EnglishIt is not but a revelation revealed,

   GermanEs ist nur eine Offenbarung, die eingegeben wird.

6. عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ۝٥

   EnglishTaught to him by one intense in strength -

   GermanBelehrt hat ihn der Besitzer starker Kräfte,

   53:5☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:5

7. ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ۝٦

   EnglishOne of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form

   Germander (geistige) Macht besitzt. So stand Er da

   53:6☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:6

8. وَهُوَ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ۝٧

   EnglishWhile he was in the higher [part of the] horizon.

   Germanund war am obersten Gesichtskreis.

9. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ۝٨

   EnglishThen he approached and descended

   GermanHierauf kam er näher und stieg herunter,

10. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ۝٩

    EnglishAnd was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

    Germanso daß er (nur) zwei Bogenlängen entfernt war oder noch näher.

11. فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ مَآ أَوْحَىٰ۝١٠

    EnglishAnd he revealed to His Servant what he revealed.

    GermanDa gab Er Seinem Diener (als Offenbarung) ein, was Er eingab.

12. مَا كَذَبَ ٱلْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ۝١١

    EnglishThe heart did not lie [about] what it saw.

    GermanNicht hat sein Herz erlogen, was es sah.

    53:11☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:11

13. أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ۝١٢

    EnglishSo will you dispute with him over what he saw?

    GermanWollt ihr denn mit ihm streiten über das, was er sieht?

    53:12☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:12

14. وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ۝١٣

    EnglishAnd he certainly saw him in another descent

    GermanUnd er sah ihn ja ein anderes Mal herabkommen,

15. عِندَ سِدْرَةِ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ۝١٤

    EnglishAt the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -

    Germanbeim Sidr-Baum des Endziels,

    53:14☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:14

16. عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ۝١٥

    EnglishNear it is the Garden of Refuge -

    Germanbei dem der Garten der Zuflucht ist.

    53:15☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:15

17. إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ۝١٦

    EnglishWhen there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].

    GermanAls den Sidr-Baum überdeckte, was (ihn) überdeckte,

    53:16☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:16

18. مَا زَاغَ ٱلْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ۝١٧

    EnglishThe sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit].

    Germanda wich der Blick nicht ab, noch überschritt er das Maß.

    53:17☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:17

19. لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ۝١٨

    EnglishHe certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.

    GermanWahrlich, er sah von den Zeichen seines Herrn die größten.

    53:18☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:18

20. أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ۝١٩

    EnglishSo have you considered al-Lat and al-'Uzza?

    GermanWas meint ihr wohl zu al-Lat und al-'Uzza

    53:19☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:19

21. وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ۝٢٠

    EnglishAnd Manat, the third - the other one?

    Germanund auch zu Manat, dieser anderen, der dritten?

    53:20☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:20

22. أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ۝٢١

    EnglishIs the male for you and for Him the female?

    GermanIst denn für euch das, was männlich ist, und für Ihn das, was weiblich ist (bestimmt)?

    53:21☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:21

23. تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰٓ۝٢٢

    EnglishThat, then, is an unjust division.

    GermanDas wäre dann eine ungerechte Verteilung.

    53:22☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:22

24. إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ۝٢٣

    EnglishThey are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.

    GermanDas sind nur Namen, die ihr genannt habt, ihr und eure Väter, für die Allah (aber) keine Ermächtigung herabgesandt hat. Sie folgen nur Vermutungen und dem, wozu sie selbst neigen, wo doch bereits von ihrem Herrn die Rechtleitung zu ihnen gekommen ist.

    53:23☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:23

25. أَمْ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ۝٢٤

    EnglishOr is there for man whatever he wishes?

    GermanOder soll (etwa) der Mensch haben, was (immer) er (sich) wünscht?

    53:24☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:24

26. فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ۝٢٥

    EnglishRather, to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].

    GermanSo gehört Allah das Jenseits und das Diesseits.

    53:25☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:25

27. وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ لَا تُغْنِى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ ٱللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَرْضَىٰٓ۝٢٦

    EnglishAnd how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.

    GermanUnd wie viele Engel gibt es in den Himmeln, deren Fürsprache nichts nützt, außer nachdem Allah es erlaubt hat, wem Er will und wer Sein Wohlgefallen findet.

29. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ۝٢٧

    EnglishIndeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names,

    GermanDiejenigen, die an das Jenseits nicht glauben, benennen die Engel fürwahr mit Namen, wie weibliche Wesen benannt werden.

    53:27☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:27

30. وَمَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔا۝٢٨

    EnglishAnd they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

    GermanSie haben jedoch kein Wissen hierüber. Sie folgen nur Vermutungen; die Vermutungen nützen aber nichts gegenüber der Wahrheit.

    53:28☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:28

31. فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا۝٢٩

    EnglishSo turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.

    GermanLaß nun ab von jemandem, der sich von Unserer Ermahnung abkehrt und nur das diesseitige Leben will.

    53:29☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:29

32. ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ۝٣٠

    EnglishThat is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

    GermanDas ist ihr erreichter Wissensstand. Gewiß, dein Herr kennt sehr wohl wer von Seinem Weg abirrt, und Er kennt sehr wohl die Rechtgeleiteten.

    53:30☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:30

33. وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ بِٱلْحُسْنَى۝٣١

    EnglishAnd to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] -

    GermanAllah gehört (alles), was in den Himmeln und was auf der Erde ist, auf daß Er denjenigen, die Böses tun, das vergelte, was sie tun, und daß Er denjenigen, die Gutes tun, mit dem (Allerbesten vergelte.

    53:31☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:31

34. ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ۝٣٢

    EnglishThose who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.

    GermanDiejenigen, die schwerwiegende Sünden und Abscheulichkeiten meiden, außer leichten Verfehlungen... Gewiß, dein Herr ist Allumfassend in (Seiner) Vergebung. Er weiß sehr wohl über euch Bescheid, als Er euch aus der Erde hervorgebracht hat und als ihr Keimlinge in den Leibern eurer Mütter gewesen seid. So erklärt nicht euch selbst für lauter. Er weiß sehr wohl, wer gottesfürchtig ist.

35. أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ۝٣٣

    EnglishHave you seen the one who turned away

    GermanWas meinst du wohl zu demjenigen, der sich abkehrt

    53:33☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:33

36. وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَىٰٓ۝٣٤

    EnglishAnd gave a little and [then] refrained?

    Germanund (nur) wenig gibt und dann (ganz) aussetzt?

    53:34☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:34

37. أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ۝٣٥

    EnglishDoes he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees?

    GermanBesitzt er (etwa) Wissen über das Verborgene, daß er sehen könnte?

    53:35☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:35

38. أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِى صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ۝٣٦

    EnglishOr has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses

    GermanOder wurde ihm nicht kundgetan, was auf den Blättern Musas steht

    53:36☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:36

39. وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلَّذِى وَفَّىٰٓ۝٣٧

    EnglishAnd [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -

    Germanund Ibrahims, der (seine Pflichten) erfüllte?

    53:37☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:37

40. أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ۝٣٨

    EnglishThat no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another

    German(Nämlich,) daß keine lasttragende (Seele) die Last einer anderen auf sich nehmen wird

    53:38☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:38

41. وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ۝٣٩

    EnglishAnd that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives

    Germanund daß es für den Menschen nichts anderes geben wird als das, worum er sich (selbst) bemüht,

    53:39☆BookmarkTafsir⋯Actions for ayah 53:39

42. وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُۥ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ۝٤٠

    EnglishAnd that his effort is going to be seen -

    Germandaß sein Bemühen gesehen werden wird,
