Surah 12 Yusuf, ayah 68 (12:68)

Ayah 12:68

وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا۟ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَهُمْ أَبُوهُم مَّا كَانَ يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا حَاجَةً فِى نَفْسِ يَعْقُوبَ قَضَىٰهَا وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذُو عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ۝٦٨

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWalamma dakhaloo min haythu amarahum aboohum ma kana yughnee AAanhum mina Allahi min shayin illa hajatan fee nafsi yaAAqooba qadaha wainnahu lathoo AAilmin lima AAallamnahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd when they entered from where their father had ordered them, it did not avail them against Allah at all except [it was] a need within the soul of Jacob, which he satisfied. And indeed, he was a possessor of knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasAls sie hineingingen, wie ihr Vater ihnen befohlen hatte, konnte es ihnen vor Allah nichts nützen. (Es war) nur ein Bedürfnis in der Seele Ya'qubs, das er (damit) erfüllte. Und er besaß fürwahr Wissen, weil Wir es ihn gelehrt hatten. Aber die meisten Menschen wissen nicht.
