Surah 2 Al-Baqara, ayah 34 (2:34)

Ayah 2:34

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ۝٣٤

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaith qulna lilmalaikati osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba waistakbara wakana mina alkafireena

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd als Wir zu den Engeln sagten: "Werft euch vor Adam nieder!" Da warfen sie sich nieder, außer Iblis. Er weigerte sich und verhielt sich hochmütig und gehörte zu den Ungläubigen.
