Surah 4 An-Nisaa, ayah 24 (4:24)

Ayah 4:24

وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ كِتَٰبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَن تَبْتَغُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِكُم مُّحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ فَمَا ٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهِۦ مِنْهُنَّ فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا تَرَٰضَيْتُم بِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْفَرِيضَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا۝٢٤

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaalmuhsanatu mina alnnisai illa ma malakat aymanukum kitaba Allahi AAalaykum waohilla lakum ma waraa thalikum an tabtaghoo biamwalikum muhsineena ghayra musafiheena fama istamtaAAtum bihi minhunna faatoohunna ojoorahunna fareedatan wala junaha AAalaykum feema taradaytum bihi min baAAdi alfareedati inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd (verboten sind euch) von den Frauen die verheirateten, außer denjenigen, die eure rechte Hand besitzt. (Dies gilt) als Allahs Vorschrift für euch. Erlaubt ist euch, was darüber hinausgeht, (nämlich) daß ihr mit eurem Besitz (Frauen) begehrt zur Ehe und nicht zur Hurerei (Frauen). Welche von ihnen ihr dann genossen habt, denen gebt ihren Lohn als Pflichtteil. Es liegt aber keine Sünde für euch darin, daß ihr, nachdem der Pflichtteil (festgelegt) ist, (darüberhinausgehend) euch miteinander einigt. Gewiß, Allah ist Allwissend und Allweise.
