Surah 4 An-Nisaa, ayah 25 (4:25)

Ayah 4:25

وَمَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنكُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَٰتِكُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيمَٰنِكُم بَعْضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَٱنكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَٰتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحَٰتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَٰتِ أَخْدَانٍ فَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَٰحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ ٱلْعَنَتَ مِنكُمْ وَأَن تَصْبِرُوا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ۝٢٥

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilWaman lam yastatiAA minkum tawlan an yankiha almuhsanati almuminati famin ma malakat aymanukum min fatayatikumu almuminati waAllahu aAAlamu bieemanikum baAAdukum min baAAdin fainkihoohunna biithni ahlihinna waatoohunna ojoorahunna bialmaAAroofi muhsanatin ghayra masafihatin wala muttakhithati akhdanin faitha ohsinna fain atayna bifahishatin faAAalayhinna nisfu ma AAala almuhsanati mina alAAathabi thalika liman khashiya alAAanata minkum waan tasbiroo khayrun lakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun

English · Saheeh InternationalAnd whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasUnd wer von euch nicht so bemittelt ist, daß er ehrbare, gläubige Frauen zu heiraten vermag, der (soll) von den gläubigen Mädchen (heiraten), die eure rechte Hand besitzt. Und Allah weiß sehr wohl über euren Glauben Bescheid; die einen von euch sind von den anderen. So heiratet sie mit der Erlaubnis ihrer Angehörigen und gebt ihnen ihren Lohn in rechtlicher Weise, wenn sie ehrbar sind, nicht solche, die Hurerei treiben und sich Liebhaber halten! Und wenn sie (durch Heirat) ehrbare Frauen geworden sind und dann eine Abscheulichkeit begehen, soll ihnen (nur) die Hälfte der Strafe zukommen, die ehrbaren Frauen zukommt. Dies gilt für denjenigen von euch, der (in) Bedrängnis (zu kommen) fürchtet. Doch daß ihr Geduld übt, ist besser für euch. Allah ist Allvergebend und Barmherzig.
