Surah 9 At-Tawba, ayah 80 (9:80)

Ayah 9:80

ٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ۝٨٠

Arabic transliteration · Source: TanzilIstaghfir lahum aw la tastaghfir lahum in tastaghfir lahum sabAAeena marratan falan yaghfira Allahu lahum thalika biannahum kafaroo biAllahi warasoolihi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena

English · Saheeh InternationalAsk forgiveness for them, [O Muhammad], or do not ask forgiveness for them. If you should ask forgiveness for them seventy times - never will Allah forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

German · Bubenheim & ElyasBitte um Vergebung für sie, oder bitte nicht um Vergebung für sie; wenn du (auch) siebzigmal um Vergebung für sie bittest, so wird Allah ihnen doch nicht vergeben. Dies (geschieht deshalb), weil sie Allah und Seinen Gesandten verleugnet haben. Allah leitet das Volk der Frevler nicht recht.
